It was a busy week for the wildcat softball and baseball teams. On Monday the HS girls couldn’t quite get their footing in a 12 run loss to Mooreland but came back with a 27-2 win over Turpin in a three-way at home in Arnett. The JH boys fell 16-14 to the Bison at Leedey. The HS girls traveled to Leedey on Tuesday for another three-way and took losses to the Bison (11-12) and Canute (14-15) while both the JH and HS boys teams faced off with Fargo at home. The JH came away with the 13-3 win while the HS took a 3-18 loss. The softball teams took a break on Thursday but Coach Burcham and the boys played all day. The JH boys were in action at the Shattuck Festival where they beat Shattuck 20-5 and Hooker 11-0 before the freshmen changed their jerseys and headed to Hammon with the HS to face the Warriors. The Wildcats took a 0-11 loss. The JH finished up the Shattuck Festival on Friday with a 0-7 loss to Guymon while the HS softball team spent the day at the Arapaho-Butler Tournament. The Lady Cats won all three rounds of pool play against Canute (10-9), Thomas-Fay-Custer (20-2) and Vici (10-6) before losing to Leedey (6-12) in the Championship. After three weeks of swinging bats the HS girls sit with a record of 11 wins and 6 losses, while the HS boys have a record of 3 and 3.
