Wildcat News for April 27, 2023
Monday, April 17, was the final Professional Development day of this school year for teachers. While students enjoyed a day out of school, teachers visited other schools and observed teachers instructing students in their subject area. Peer observation is a valuable tool as it lets teachers see different teaching styles and oftentimes shows them a new approach to teaching.
Makale and Makenzi Hamil qualified for the State Speech Tournament with their Humorous Duet. They made the finals, which is quite an accomplishment, placing 8th overall statewide in a very competitive category. Congratulations Kale and Kenzi!

The Arnett JH Baseball team finished the year 19-5 on the year, Fall and Spring seasons combined.
The Arnett FFA is partnering with the Ellis County Extension Office to have AG in the Park on May 8th.
Jenna Thomas, Sara Wayland, and Ashton Suthers were honored as FCA All’Area Athletes. Congratulations to these outstanding seniors!
PreK Field Trip:
Pre-K took a trip to Elk City to Play on Main. They enjoy playing with their different inside pretend play area and indoor playground. Afterwards there was a picnic lunch at Ackley park and playing at the park for a few minutes before returning to school.
