Another busy week at Arnett Public School! The book fair was a great success this past week! We love seeing our kids love books and want to read! We even had special guests, Braden and Kayla Carol, from Vici visit our Book Fair to read Pete the Cat the Scuba Diver to our students and teach them about scuba diving. They brought their own gear with them to show the special equipment needed to scuba dive and gave our students the opportunity to try it on.

Also, we had several win a prize for visiting the book fair. Addie Kincannon from 1st grade won a sonic gift card. Kaylee Walton from 4th grade won the candy jar for guessing closest to the correct amount of candy in the jar. Mrs. Jamie Dearing won the other candy jar. Mrs. Amy Miller was on a roll visiting the book fair and won a coconut jar full of tootsie rolls. Senior, Alyssa Smith won a sonic gift card and another faculty member won a gift card.
Tuesday, the JH boys baseball team traveled to Vici. The JH boys lost. The HS girls softball team traveled to Mooreland and came out with a win, 11-10.
The Arnett Tournaments also kept our kids busy Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This is always a great tournament and fundraiser for our sports programs. Thank you to all the teams who participated and supported our concession stands.
Thursday the Lady Wildcats won all three games during pool play, giving them a bye for the tournament. They ended up playing

We only have a few week's left and Arnett's Farmers and Merchants Bank is still "Banking" on our Wildcats. This week they are banking on Ms. Lauryn Bayless. Lauryn's teacher's had this to say about her: "Lauryn always does what is asked of her, always has work done, and is polite. She doesn't give up and doesn't back down from a challenge. Her competitive nature is awesome to watch both on and off the field/court. She is awesome to have in class and makes our school proud." Congratulations, Lauryn!
It's incredible how one person's act of kindness can have such a profound impact on a community. Sean Cummings's dedication to honoring his late wife Cathy by erasing school lunch debt in Oklahoma is truly inspiring. Recently Mr. Cummings stopped by Arnett Schools to help with outstanding lunch bills for Arnett students! His gesture not only alleviates financial burdens for students and their families but also spreads a message of compassion and generosity. It's wonderful to see individuals like Mr. Cummings making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Thank you, Mr. Cummings!
