Only two more weeks until graduation! The busy time of year is quickly coming to a close, and we couldn't be more proud of our students. This week's "Senior Spotlight" features Mr. Lathen West. Congratulations, Lathen!
Continuing on with showcasing our students, this week's Farmers and Merchants Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Miss Landree Parsons. Landree's teachers had this to say about her: "Landree is a student teachers love to have in their classrooms. She is willing, cooperates well with others, keeps a good attitude, and is motivated to do her best. Landree is a friend to all, has an enormous heart, is a generous person, and genuinely cares for others. Teachers, peers, and younger students are blessed by knowing and being around Landree." Congratulations, Landree!

Seniors Ryan Elder (pictured left) and Merced Sanchez (pictured middle) were selected to the 2024 K101 Classic Bowl Basketball team, while Senior Canon Hardin (pictured right) was selected to play in the Western Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game. Congratulations to all three boys for their hard work and dedication!
On Monday, April 30, nineteen students involved in the Arnett Mentoring Program traveled to Oklahoma City to enjoy a fun-filled day. The 7th graders and upper classmen ate at Swadley’s BBQ and had an entertaining day of laser tag, arcade games, and bowling at Main Event. Junior Harley Shoaf qualified for the Class 2A State Golf Championship that was held at Prairie West Golf Course in Weatherford, OK, on April 29-30. Harley finished 11th out of 75 competitors. Congrats, Harley!
The 5th & 6th Grade Choir traveled to Enid for the Tri-State Music Festival and received a Superior rating!
Next week will include all the banquets and assemblies. To begin the week, Baccalaureate will take place Sunday, May 12, at 2:00 PM.
On Monday, the Annual Talent Show will take place at 9 AM in the auditorium. The public is welcome to attend. It is always an enjoyable time watching our students perform and showcase their talents.
On Monday afternoon, PK-12th grade will be picking up trash around the school and community. Students, teachers, and organizations are very grateful for how our community supports us throughout the year, and this is one of the ways we like to give back.
Please make plans to attend the All-Sports Banquet Monday evening and the Arnett FFA Banquet Tuesday evening and help celebrate students and their accomplishments this year!
The JH/HS awards assembly will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14. The Elementary awards (PK-6th) will take place at 8:30 AM on Thursday, May 16. School will dismiss that day at 12:30 PM.
To culminate our 2023-2024 school year, Senior Graduation will be held Friday, May 17, at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.
