Eight thousand 9th-12th grade students participated in competitions held for academics, STEM, speech, performing arts, and visual arts held for Beta members across the nation. Students had to qualify at the state level to participate in competitions at the national level.

The Arnett Senior Beta Club competed in 18 different events at the National level. Mrs. Burcham also had obligations to fill as the Oklahoma Junior Beta State Sponsor and coordinated three events during the Elementary National Convention and two events during the Senior National Convention.

The Arnett Senior Beta Club ended the convention with three Top 10 National placings and two Top 5 National placings. Bristen Robertson earned 9th place with her Digital Art, and Abbie Boyd also placed 9th with her Jewelry entry. The Collaboration Connection team made up of Cadie McCracken, Brianna Marenco, Landree Parsons, Landry Bayless, Allie Tune, and Hadley Brooks received 7th Place. While in Savannah, the Senior Betas and their chaperones had the opportunity to visit Tybee Island while also touring the oldest lighthouse in Georgia and enjoying an afternoon at the beach. They also took a historical tour of the city of Savannah, which is the oldest town in Georgia; therefore, supposedly haunted, so the group took a ghost tour as well, which provided even more history of the city. Lastly, the group had an evening of team-building when they worked together to break out of an escape room.

The National Beta Club is an honor society, and all the students are to be commended on their exceptional grades, hard work, and leadership abilities. They represented Arnett extremely well at the National Convention this year.
