Summer break has seemed to come and go in a hurry. The first day of school is steadily approaching, and PK-12th grade enrollment can be completed online through the school website at arnett.k12.ok.us. If you need assistance, there will be staff in the cafeteria on Friday, August 9, from 4:00-6:00 PM helping with enrollment. New students need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record, and social security card. Seventh graders need to have proof of their Tdap shot before enrolling.
Additionally, for students in 7th-12th grades, Mrs. Burcham will be in the high school library helping those students complete and pick up their schedules. If you cannot attend on August 9, you may call/email Mrs. Burcham or come by the school earlier in the week to receive your class schedule.
The Arnett Beta Club is hosting a fundraiser through Cunningham Peaches in Colorado. If you would like to pre-order peaches, pears, or honey, please contact a Jr. or Sr. Beta member, or you may email Mrs. Burcham at jburcham@arnett.k12.ok.us with your order. Produce will be delivered to Arnett on August 17. Pre-orders are due by August 9.
The Arnett Jr. and Sr. Beta Clubs were recently recognized with The National Beta School of Merit award and the National Beta School of Distinction. The School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. This year, 49% of Beta Clubs across the country received this award. The School of Distinction award is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. This year, only 22% of Beta Clubs across the country received the distinction award. With more than 500,000 active members and 9,000 chapters nationally and internationally, National Beta has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization.
