The buildings of Arnett Schools have become much busier in the past two weeks as teachers, coaches, staff members, and contract workers have been spending mornings, afternoons, and late evenings working in their classrooms, having team practices, finishing up projects, and preparing for students to arrive on August 15. There is a certain excitement in the air as a new school year is about to begin.
Cunningham Peaches from Colorado will be delivered Saturday, August 17. You may pick up your orders at the high school gym from 2:30-5:30 PM.
Please make plans to donate blood at the Beta Blood Drive on Wednesday, August 28, in the high school gym lobby from 1:00-5:30 PM. One donation can save up to three lives.
Coach Shoaf and Coach Tune would like to extend a thank you to Ryan Clem from Choice Physical Therapy for spending some time with the Arnett softball team last week teaching an ACL prevention routine.
Coach Burcham and Coach Royal invited John Bay to baseball practice to offer hitting advice to the JH and HS boys. John plays baseball at Austin-Peay State University in Tennessee.
The baseball team enjoyed a preseason get together at Grand full of swimming, fishing, hotdogs, and s’mores. Thank you to Connie Shoaf, Rexie Holloway, and Louie Holloway for allowing the boys to have such a fun evening.
