Wednesday morning was See You at the Pole™. The global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. About 60 students and faculty attended the service. Brooklyn Vincent and John Campbell led the service by reading a few scriptures and sharing about their walk with God. After sharing, small groups broke out to pray together. Our students did an amazing job!

Wednesday afternoon, the Arnett FFA hosted an LDE Contest in Arnett. Our 8th grade Opening Closing Team ended up 3rd! Team members included students, Hallie McCartor, Bella Booth, Lola Coleman, Lauryn Bayless, and Josh Campbell. Also pictured is Mr. Johnston. Brooklyn Vincent and Riah Latta also competed in the Greenhand quiz! Congratulations to Brooklyn for placing in the top ten in a very tough Greenhand contest!
The contest was run by our older FFA Members. They did an incredible job making sure everything ran smoothly!
Thursday playoffs kicked off for both Arnett teams. The Wildcats traveled to Ft. Cobb and took on the Milburn Eagles in the first game. The boys came to play and defeated the Eagles 12-0. The second game our boys faced off with the #2 team in Class B, Ft. Cobb. They had to play them twice and win to advance to regionals, but Ft. Cobb came out on top both games ending the season for our Wildcats.
The baseball team enjoyed dinner and team bonding at Coach B's & Mrs. Burcham's home before regionals to get prepared to play!
The Lady Wildcats hosted their districts at home Thursday afternoon also. They played Boise City in a double header. The Lady Wildcats run ruled Boise City in the first game 15-0 and 16-0 for the second game. Congratulations to our ladies for advancing to Regionals.

On Friday, the 6th graders enjoyed spending a day in the lab working. They’ve been working hard in class learning about plant and animal cells and the organelles found in them. For lab, they were assigned either plant or animal and had to turn a sugar cookie into a cell with all the correct organelles. The part they enjoyed the most was, of course, eating them!
