Arnett Elementary Hosts Annual Spelling Bee

On December 18, 2024, Arnett Elementary School held its much-anticipated annual Spelling Bee. Students who placed in the top three of their classroom bees earned the opportunity to compete in the school-wide event. The competition was divided into two divisions: the Junior Bee for 3rd-5th graders and the Senior Bee for 6th-8th graders.

The top three winners from each division will represent Arnett at the Ellis County Spelling Bee on January 18, 2025. Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication, and best of luck to our advancing spellers as they prepare for the next level of competition!

AR Party Celebrates Reading Success at Arnett School

Students in 4th-6th grades who met their individual Accelerated Reader (AR) goals for the second nine weeks were treated to a special celebration at Arnett School. The AR Party featured fun games with teachers, along with delicious meat and cheese trays for snacks.

Each student worked hard to achieve their personalized reading goals, showing dedication and a love for learning. Congratulations to all the students who earned this well-deserved reward for their reading efforts! Keep up the great work!

The Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank “Banking on a Wildcat” for the week of December 16, 2024, was Coach Drew Miller.  The students had a lot of votes, as well as the teachers and they had this to say about him:  “Coach Miller has been a wonderful addition to Arnett.  His dedication to his students and team is unmatched.  The student’s love the respect he has for them and appreciate him raising the bar for success.  He’s so intense and his positive energy fuels those around him.  He treats everyone like his own and we love him for it!”  Congratulations Coach Miller!
