Friday, January 17: An Exciting Day for Wildcats at the Annual Homecoming Clash of the Classes
Friday, January 17, was a thrilling day to be a Wildcat as the entire student body gathered in the gym for the highly anticipated Annual Homecoming Clash of the Classes. This exciting event saw students of all grades battling it out in a series of fun and competitive activities that brought school spirit to new heights.
The festivities kicked off with a fierce tug of war competition where classes tested their strength and teamwork, each vying for the title of strongest class. The Sophomore class were the overall winners. Next, the gymnasium was filled with excitement as participants took their shot at the 3-point shooting contest, showcasing their basketball skills and athleticism. Landry Bayless and Harley Shoaf led the Srs. to victory.
The energy continued to rise during the lively lip-sync competition, where students from each grade gave it their all, performing to their favorite songs with flair and enthusiasm. The audience cheered on their classmates as they brought creativity and energy to the stage. The sophomores and Katy Perry (Lincoln Coleman) won this portion of the day.
Adding to the festivities, students got creative in the poster and door decorating competition, with each class showcasing their artistic talents in hopes of taking home the top prize. The decorations added a colorful touch to the event, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the gym. The Jr. Class came away as winners in both of the categories.
But the fun didn’t stop there—elementary students also got in on the action with the "Chuck a Duck" game. This lighthearted activity saw younger students aiming to throw rubber ducks into targets for a chance to win fun prizes.
To cap off the day’s festivities, the winners from each class were treated to a unique and hilarious challenge. High school students wrapped them in toilet paper to see who could use their roll the fastest in a race to the finish line. The event was a perfect mix of friendly competition and school spirit.
The Annual Homecoming Clash of the Classes was a day filled with laughter, excitement, and camaraderie, bringing students together to celebrate being a Wildcat.
