State Bound

The area basketball tournament in Enid kicked off Thursday night. For the first time since 2014, the high school boys basketball team made the Area Tournament. They took the court Thursday night against Deer Creek-Lamont but fell short in a hard-fought contest, losing 63-48. Despite their efforts, the boys’ season came to an end. We are so proud of our boys and the improvement they made this season!

Friday night brought a different story for the Lady Wildcats as they faced off against the No. 1 ranked Lomega Lady Raiders in the area championship game. With a strong performance on both ends of the court, the Lady Wildcats pulled off an impressive 61-46 victory, securing their spot in the state tournament! Congratulations!

Area Champs! With the win, the Lady Wildcats now set their sights on the next challenge. They will take on Smithville in the first round of the state tournament on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. at the Big House in OKC. Come out and support the Lady Wildcats as they fight on for the state title.

In addition to the excitement on the basketball court, the elementary has recognized its outstanding students for the month of February. Congratulations to these students for their hard work, kindness, and positive impact on the school community. Great job!

This week's Farmers and Merchants Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Leilani Daniels. Leilani's teacher's had this to say about her: "Leilani is a good classmate, ready to help where needed. She is also willing to learn new things and step into unfamiliar roles as she did with the media team this basketball season. Leilani has become a vital member of A-Town TV and traveled to multiple away games. Leilani has a contagious, beautiful smile and is fun to have in class and

greet in the hallway." Some of the students mentioned that Leilani always has your back and that they really appreciate her. Congratulations, Leilani!
