Last week, Arnett’s 6th-grade students were honored for their outstanding writing in the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) contest. The students had to put themselves in the shoes of a woman during the Revolutionary War and describe their involvement in one of the historic tea parties. Their hard work and creativity were evident, and Audia McIntyre took home 1st place. Congratulations to all participants!

Amidst a busy schedule filled with basketball and BETA activities, three Arnett students showcased their scientific talents at the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair in Stillwater. Also on Thursday, the junior high baseball team traveled to Leedey while the high school boys played in Seiling. Unfortunately, the high school boys lost, while the junior high boys played very well and won 12-9.

This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to 8th grader, Hallie McCartor. Hallie's teacher's had this to say about her: "Hallie goes above and beyond in the classroom. Attention to detail and organization are key in her success. Her competitive spirit is awesome to see both on and off the floor. While being a good big sister in her own family, she is so kind and helpful to those around her." Congratulations, Hallie!
