Seniors at Prom

The Arnett High School gymnasium was transformed into an enchanting Egyptian paradise for the annual Junior/Senior Prom, held Saturday, April 5, under the theme “An Evening in Egypt.” Students were transported to ancient times as they walked through elaborate decorations in the gymatorium.

The evening began with a delicious dinner, served by the sophomore students who made sure everyone was well-fed before hitting the dance floor. DJ Ross Royal kept the energy high with an incredible selection of music, ensuring that the night was filled with dancing and fun for all.

As the night drew to a close, students left with memories of a magical evening, filled with laughter, music, and the joy of celebration. The Arnett Junior/Senior Prom was truly an unforgettable night in the sands of time.

A special thanks needs to be added to the junior class sponsors, Mrs. Burcham and Mrs. Knowles, who have tirelessly organized and decorated the prom for many years. This year marked their final time in these roles, as they pass the torch to the next generation of prom planners. Their dedication to making the event a success year after year will not be forgotten.

The Thomas Fay Custer/Arnett Girls' Golf Team claimed a strong 2nd place finish at the Dover Small Schools Tournament.

Leading the charge was senior Harley Shoaf, who put on an outstanding performance, shooting an 81 and securing the individual championship. Shoaf’s play not only earned her the top spot but also played a crucial role in helping her team secure second place in the competitive tournament. In addition to Shoaf’s performance, fellow classmate and team member Cadie McCracken contributed with a round of 112.
