This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Monty Wilson. Monty's teacher's had this to say about him: "Monty is so much fun to have in the classroom. He keeps everyone accountable and is a good team member. Having him apart of the media team this year was just what the school needed. He is an asset to our school and community." Congrats Monty!

Exciting news! Our girls' basketball team has advanced to the Class B State playoffs, and they'll be hitting the court at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, Feb 28th at the Fairground Arena in Oklahoma City. To show our support, we're canceling school for the day.
Please mark the date and join us in cheering for our Lady Wildcats. Regular classes will resume on Thursday.

Wildcat nation! It was loud in the Stride Center all week and our livestream was rocking with over 1000 viewers LIVE! This will be all we get to stream this year as we won't be able to at the State Tournament as NFHS network has all the rights for streaming. Jansen Hamilton and Alexandra Strick were chosen as finalists in the Picture the Music Contest sponsored by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. The finalists' artwork will be on display at the St. Louis Art Museum and the Butterfly House in Chesterfield. The 3rd thru 6th grade music classes participated in the contest.
This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Katie Girton. Katie's teacher's had this to say about her: "She is extremely talented in all areas. She is always willing to help others regardless of their abilities. She maintains a positive attitude. She is academically and musically gifted. She is new to Arnett Schools and has had to learn to embrace the changes with a smile on her face." Congratulations, Katie!
One last reminder that this will be on Tuesday night! Senior parents, if you plan to attend your account needs to be created today to ensure enough time to process. Also, please bring a copy of your 2022 taxes just in case!

Regional basketball starts Thursday at Covington-Douglas for the Lady Wildcats. They will take on Shidler at 6:00 p.m.

Arnett 7th & 8th grade English students recently participated in the Delta Kappa Gamma essay contest. This year’s topic was, “What career or vocation do you see yourself having when you are an adult? Explain why you chose it and how you would prepare for it." From Mrs. Knowles's 8th grade class, Whitley Toy Stewart placed 1st and Jasmine Smith received Honorable Mention. Placing in Mrs. Burcham's 7th Grade Class was Levi Starkey-1st, Adante Smith-2nd, Bella Booth-3rd, and Josh Campbell-Honorable Mention. Shattuck 7th & 8th graders also participated in the essay contest with the winners reading their essays at an awards assembly followed by a reception.
