Biology I has been studying several units over genetics. They are currently experimenting with hybrid tobacco seeds with one normal and one albino gene to illustrate how the environment will affect the expression of the phenotype. This will continue for 2-3 weeks.





8th grade Science completed their lesson over Electricity and Magnetism. During this lab they determined the cause-and-effect relationship between different combinations of magnetic poles.





Mrs. Ham’s 4th grade science class finished their unit over the history of our planet. They learned about different layers of soil, different types of fossils and more. We even made our own fossils and trace fossil casts!

Both classes will receive a pizza party on Wednesday, March 2!
PK-12th grade brought in 149 pounds of pull tabs to give to the Ronald McDonald House to help provide a place to stay for families who have a sick or injured family member in the hospital. Thank you to all who participated in this service project!!

The area tournament has been delayed again, it will now be played on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Lady Wildcats play at 6:30 Monday.

All area tournaments have been postponed, they will be Friday Saturday and Monday. Class A&B state tournaments will start on Wednesday. Arnett Lady Wildcats play Saturday at 6:30 in Woodward.


Landree, Emma, Abby, and MaKale were selected to represent Arnett as a member of the Woodward District Livestock Show. Landree participated yesterday for the barrow show and Emma, Abby, and Kale are there today for the gilt show.

Music Flower Fundraiser begins on February 21st. Third through 6th grade students will be selling Dutch Mill flower bulbs until March 7. Each student will have a goal of selling 4 packages. The top salesperson will receive a prize, and the top selling class will receive an ice cream party.
