Arnett JH student Bayne Strick is the OKJHSRA Saddle Bronc Champion! Bayne won the average in the Finals in Saddle Bronc, and made the State Finals Top 15. He won buckles in Ribbon Roping, with his sister Alexandra Strick as his running partner, Team Roping as a heeler, and Saddle Bronc Riding. The events Bayne participated in throughout the year were Saddle Bronc, Breakaway, Ribbon Roping, and Team Roping.
Alexandra made top 15 and won buckles at the State Finals in Ribbon Roping, with Bayne as her roper, Goat Tying, and Poles and won the average for two days in the Pole event. The events Alexandra participated in throughout the year were Breakaway, Ribbon Roping, Poles and Goat Tying.
Bayne also made Nationals in Des Moines, IA, in Saddle Bronc Riding. Congratulations and good luck to the Stricks. We are proud of you!

Our final Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Allie Tune. Allie's teacher's had this to say about her: "Allie is a fun young lady who brings extra joy to the classroom, field, and court. She brightens up the hallway as she interacts with students and teachers. Allie encourages others, she works hard, and she is not afraid to try something new or help where needed, and always with a smile on her face." Congrats, Allie! This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Miss Landree Parsons. Landree's teachers had this to say about her: "Landree is a student teachers love to have in their classrooms. She is willing, cooperates well with others, keeps a good attitude, and is motivated to do her best. Landree is a friend to all, has an enormous heart, is a generous person, and genuinely cares for others. Teachers, peers, and younger students are blessed by knowing and being around Landree." All 7th graders and mentors leave Monday at 7:50 am for their field trip. We should return around 4:30-5:00.
3 more weeks until graduation! The busy time of year is quickly coming to a close and we couldn't be more proud of our student's. This week's "Senior Sunday" features Mr. Lathen West. Congratulations, Lathen!

The Talent Show will now be held on Monday, May 13. Students in 3rd grade through 12th grade may participate this year. All sign-up forms must be turned in to Mrs. Wheeler by May 7th.

1. Remember that Thursday's games at Leedey are moved up from Noon to 10:00am to hopefully beat any potential severe weather threat.
